Skatepark Groundbreaking

Work on the much-anticipated Mumbles Skatepark has finally begun more than four years after the project was first proposed.



The groundbreaking ceremony saw Mumbles Community Chair, Carrie Townsend Jones, Geraint Davies MP, Councillor David Hopkins Deputy Co-leader from Swansea Council and James Jones, member of the UK Olympic BMX Team in attendance at the site in Llwynderw, joined by other MCC councillors, representatives from Mumbles Skatepark Association and children from Grange Primary School.

Sue Mitchener, Director of Maverick who are building the Skatepark said that they were “delighted to have begun construction work, which we anticipate will be completed late January 2023”

Torri Tir Parc Sglefrio

Mae gwaith hir ddisgwyliedig ar Barc Sglefrio y Mwmbwls wedi dechrau o’r diwedd fwy na phedair blynedd ar ôl i’r prosiect gael ei grybwyll am y tro cyntaf.

Yn ystod y seremoni torri tir, roedd Cadeirydd Cyngor Cymuned y Mwmbwls, Carrie Townsend Jones, Geraint Davies AS, y Cynghorydd David Hopkins, Dirprwy Gyd-arweinydd Cyngor Abertawe a James Jones, aelod o Dîm Olympaidd y DU yn bresennol ar y safle yn ardal Llwynderw ger y Mwmbwls, ynghyd â chynghorwyr eraill o GCyM, cynrychiolwyr Cymdeithas Parc Sglefrio y Mwmbwls a phlant o Ysgol Gynradd Grange.

Dywedodd Sue Mitchener, Cyfarwyddwr cwmni Maverick, sy’n adeiladu’r Parc Sglefrio, eu bod “wrth ein bodd i ddechrau ar y gwaith adeiladu, ac yn rhagweld y bydd wedi’i gwblhau erbyn diwedd Ionawr 2023”.
