Mumbles Community Council propose to ask Swansea City Council to transfer ownership of the two remaining tennis courts in Mumbles. We hope to invest in the facilities to be retained either as tennis courts or other sporting facilities. The hotel being built adjacent to the site had been allocated a space the size of one tennis court for parking. This reduces the space available to MCC.

We believe that the area shown in the plans below should be used to enhance the well-being of residents and visitors to Mumbles with a particular emphasis on the well-being of young people.

Mumbles Community Council propose that the adjoining Bowls and Croquet facilities should also be retained.

The space will be as green and visually attractive as possible and include insect friendly planted borders of substantial dimensions. It is intended that young people will be involved in designing and planting these.

MCC are keen to drive forward that this area remains a community space. Have your save on the future of Mumbles Tennis Courts by completing the short survey below.
