Mumbles Community Council (MCC) are delighted to have the opportunity to take over the lease for Underhill Park as part of a back to back lease arrangement, with Mumbles Community Association (MCA), in turn, being granted a lease to Underhill Park by ourselves.

We needed this arrangement in order to secure borrowing approval from the Welsh Government. We are currently awaiting their decision on an £840,000 application, and anticipate a decision will be made by the end of this month.

The ability to borrow up to £840.000, together with funds we have already set-aside will allow MCC to underwrite the project by up £1.2 million.
