Mumbles Fest 2021 - Live music and more returned to Oystermouth Castle
Location: Oystermouth Castle, Mumbles
11th September 2021
Mumbles Community Council were delighted to present MumblesFest 2021 on Saturday at Oystermouth Castle. The sun shone and almost 3,500 people enjoyed the many live music acts which performed on stage – all set against the dramatic backdrop of Oystermouth Castle.
Artists included local choirs, individual musicians and rock bands and culminated with Lorraine Crosby who rocked the crowd with a set that included her famous duet with Meatloaf, “I’d do anything for love”.
The event also featured a diverse selection of street food, a very busy beer tent, ice cream sellers and a cocktail bar. And while parents enjoyed the live music, there was glitter and face painting, a bouncy castle and plenty of other activities to keep the children happy.
“Wow! To say MumblesFest exceeded expectations would be an understatement. It was great to be able to stage the event again after missing out last year and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. It was great to put on such a fantastic family day which showcased local traders and local artists and was headlined by the incredible Lorraine Crosby and her band. It was great to welcome more local children performing on stage and to see so many of the children and their families staying right to the very end of the show, clearly enjoying the family atmosphere. The only worry now is how we are going to top this year’s event. Mumbles Rocked!” Cllr Rob Marshall, Chair of Cultural and Tourism Committee.
Event organisers, Mumbles Community Council, wish to pass on their thanks to all who attended or took part and made sure the day was such a great success.
